Happy Father's Day/Happy 4th of July

We have been a very busy family. We had a night away on June 20th. We went to Tim's cousin Sarah's wedding. It was a very beautiful/fun wedding. We stayed at the hotel and enjoyed a night away from the kiddies. Terry and I had a blast and Tim indulged my need for a few slow dances. My brother likes to dub me "Wedding Jill." I was not out of control however, I just did my fair share of draining the wine bottles. Nana and Papa watched the kids and then in the morning Tim joined Paul, Joe and my dad for a round of golf. I headed to my dad's to visit with my kids and wait for the Father's Day crew to show up. It was a great day. Tim and Sue came too so the kids saw 4/5 of their grandparents that day.

Brooke and Daddy playing on Father's Day.
Grandma Sue and Cameron being fast swimmers!

Happy Father's Day!!! Don't work so hard.

Cameron loves the cabin. When Tim was putting Cameron to bed the night before we were leaving and told her we were going to the cabin tomorrow she hugged him tight and said "OH THANK YOU!!!" She is so cute.

Cameron has shown quite an interest in fishing lately. She was constantly asking to go down to the dock and fish.

Here are some nudie cousins hanging out in the lake. Max and Maddie were dirty from dinner and playing so they decided to drop trow and jump in.

Cameron is not one to miss out on a fun time. So enjoy the bun shot.

Cameron helped Uncle Steve decorate the Flag Cake with blueberries and strawberries. There were only a few finger marks in the frosting.

Rolling down the hill, avoiding bedtime. The cabin was a fun, relaxing way to spend the 4th of July.

The rest of our summer has been fun. Playdates, Gramma Tye visits to play princesses with Cameron, swimming at Papa and Nana's. We met some neighbors that have the same age girls as we do. It's perfect. I really like the family and they live down the street so they are quite convenient! Cameron likes to play with Erin too, so that is nice for us. DDress up with Gramma Tye
Summer playdates with some of my teacher friends. We have house playdates each week and meet at the zoo another day. It is fun to have friends that are teachers too!!!Monday we went to the MN Zoo with Uncle Paul, Aunt Jen, Ethan and Hayden. Kids ran around and had fun. Where is Brooke you may be wondering...
Poor baby. It's hard when you can't walk. Next summer, little girl.
I think that is all. I am sure I forgot many important things, sorry!

Summer is in Fulll Swing!

Summer is here! Yeah! The girls and I are having a lot of fun. This picture is so cute b/c Cameron grabbed Brooke's hand as they watched toons.

This is our summer... hanging out together. We are feeding Brookers. I say WE because Cameron loves to be my helper. She is quite sweet. Brooke started scooching this week. She is also cutting her two bottom teeth. Poor baby. She's got the miserables.

This is the big girl undies! Cameron likes them and is hit or miss on the potty. Peeing is going quite well actually. The other is a disaster. She is sooo freaked out by pooping on the potty that she gets hysterical. I just put diapers on her when she asks. It's no good to have her totally freaked out by it. I am assuming it'll be like the nookie. She desperately needs it until one day she doesn't. So hopefully soooooon she'll work her way out of the diapers.

We found the one hot day this summer and spent it at Nana's and Papa's house swimming. She loves to swim. More like she loves to throw things in the water and sitting in the froggie floaty. We had a fun day at the lake.

This has been a week of firsts. First scooching and first teeth coming in and now first big girl tubby! Cameron loved having Brooke in the tub. She gave her some toys and watched her splash in the tub. That has been our two weeks of summer. Potty training and playing.

Is that a DEER???

Yes we frickin' hit a deer!!! OMG! It was like - Did that really just happen? It was a medium sized deer and it just ran out in front of us. If it hadn't stopped and just kept running it would have been fine, but of course it stopped to look at us and wham bam it was toast.

Can you see the fur at the top of the window??? Eeew. I was covered in glass shards, but that was about the worst of it. Great Grandma Peg was a trooper and continued to be a great source of support to us and the girls and we waited, and waited to figure out what to do. Not many places open on Memorial Day...

We were saved by Poopa aka the best Father in Law. He rescued us from the tick fest and took us to Eau Claire where we hijacked (and still have) Diann and Tom's car. They were conveniently out of town. We can't thank you enough D and T for the loan. I feel guilty about driving it...someday our car will be fixed. Good old Barron, WI.

The kids had a wonderful Memorial Weekend. We loved having Max and Maddie show up. M&M are moving in June to a bigger and better home in Bloomington.

Brooke had a tough time without the favorite exersaucer. It doesn't travel well. Tim slept with Cam in her "princess" bed courtesy of Grandma. I slept with Brooke. I think Brooke was cold and Cameron was disoriented at night. But it's not like she did have a blast. Everyday she asks to go to the cabin.
Cameron had her first kayak ride.
Dad getting Cam's fishing pole (courtesy of the grandparents) ready.

The kids getting the toys out of the Toy Cooler. Huh? Yeah, we said the same thing... But that's grandma for you...
All in all, it was a great weekend.
Now I get to have one more day with my students and then summer is here! Yeah!!!! As much as I enjoyed this spring with my students I cannot wait for summer. One day to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3 Weeks Left!

3 Weeks to go!!! But we teachers know that we really have like 5 teaching days :)

We also have Valleyfair day, Peer Helper Field Trip, Track and Field, Reward Day, Award Day, 6th Grade Send Off, Clean up day/return all the teacher's things you "borrowed" all year and suddenly find day. So really who is learning this spring????

I really like my students this year so it is not hard to be at work.

Apparently Tim was 5th in the nation in his division for sales last month... that's my boy!

We have to pen Cameron in her room now at night. She opens the door around 6am and will walk out. She is so quiet I did not sleep not knowing when she'd get up and roam the house or God forbid come into our room and I'd wake up with her little face in mine. The scream of terror ripped from my throat after waking up to a little face in mine would scar us both. Some of you know me very well and would attest to my scare-dy pants antics. I also always have an escape plan. Ask me sometime. But I digress.

The wonderful in-laws were here two weekends ago and helped put up our new playset. Now we have to get rid of the sand and add dirt and sod...

This is Brooke having cereal for the first time. Not much for getting it in her mouth, but she's having a good time. This is Cameron eating the rest of Brooke's cereal. She likes to be my little helper in the kitchen.

On the home front Brooke's sleeping has no real pattern. She has a routine for 3 days and then it all changes. Now she is up at 11:30, 1am, 3am, then dirties her diaper around 45 minutes later and is all mad at her poo-y pants and then is wide awake by the time Tim goes and gets her. He sleeps with her on the couch downstairs. Tim is the 4am and later guy. I wake up and and they are both gone and I have no recollection of her crying. I think I sleep through it b/c I know it is not my turn or I am just so tired I'd sleep through it anyways.

This is Cameron being sweet to Brookers. She does love her sister.

Anyways, I still don't know how to get Cammers to sleep in. She goes to bed around 9pm. She runs all day and we try to wear her out. To no avail.

Me and my girls. I have no decent pics of us.
We had Hayden's second birthday and partied at Ethan and Hayden's house. This is Cam being the rockstar she is one the way to the party. They have an unfinished basement that is a rockin' play area. Kid Central. Cameron could have played all day and night. Hayden is a fun tyke and Ethan is a smart boy. So fun to hang out with them.
Well, that is all. Once again Brooke woke up to make a deposit into her diaper... Must go change stinkie!

Who Needs Sleep???

Brooke finally slept Wednesday night-the whole way through! Although she did not Thursday night...but small steps right? She did have her 4 month shots on Weds, so that might account for her sleepiness. Brooke is up almost every hour or two. Now I know what you are going to say - let her cry it out. I soooooooo want to, but then Cameron hears her and wakes up screaming and crying and we can't get her back to bed, she is hysterical/disoriented. So which scenario is best??? Mom is up all night or Cameron, Brooke, Mom and Dad are up all night. I am positive this will soon work its way out... Other than the sleeping issue and Cameron being a typical 2 year old (hint hint tantrums) everything is normal. Well, Tim looks constantly drugged b/c of his extreme allergies and he can't really see (glad he is driving to WI today for work) we are a boring family.

Can you tell who doesn't want to take this picture? I resort to selfies b/c I am always taking the pictures and I would occasionally like to be in one with my girls.

I LOVE this photo.

This one too! Brookers is such a smiler.

Tim gets up with the girls on the weekend ( I do night duty) so this is the usually Saturday morning scene. Cartoons with dad (I think he naps). Cameron loves Brooke. When she whines or cries Cameron runs to her and says "What's wrong Brookers?" "You're okay" is this sweet soothing voice. Or she says "Pipe down Brookers!"

Cameron entertaining Brooke in the exersaucer

Getting ready for tubbie time.

I feel like Brooke is constantly entertained by Cameron and I wonder what she is thinking. Basically Brooke just sits there and watches Cam dance around or throw a tantrum depending on the time. But all is well and we are happy and fairly healthy. Hope you are too!

Rogge Girls Throw a Party!

Cameron and Brooke decided it was time to have a big bash! We celebrated Cameron's 2nd birthday - a Mickey Mouse Theme, and Brooke was baptized.

This is Cameron when she woke up... Presents for me???? She was shocked and thrilled.

Brooke had a bath and then a little nap before her big performance at the church.

Brooke didn't even cry. Such a good girl.

Brooke has wonderful godparents, Terry and Dan.

Cousins Max and Maddie helped Cameron open some presents.

I was so proud of Cameron - she opened each present and loved them all.

She opened her new Wonder Pets toy from Grandma Tye. "I love Ming Ming..."

Happy to eat my Mickey Cake.

This is her new Princess costume from Max and Maddie. She loves to dress up.

We headed to the big EC this weekend to celebrate Great Grandma Helen's 95th birthday. Sadly, we did not take a picture of her. I don't know how we overlooked that. We'll take a few over Easter. This is Uncle Tom with Cameron playing outside.

Cameron playing at Uncle Tom and Aunt Diann's house in EC.

Here is Brookie's 3 month picture. She has been such a good girl lately. She mostly sits in her chair and watches us play. She smiles a lot and is starting to "talk." She even slept through the night last night! She dozed this morning and was ready for her long afternoon nap which lined up with Cameron's nap! They both have been sleeping for 2 hours so far...This COULD be a rockin' summer! I am on spring break this week and we have successfully removed the nookie from Cameron's mouth. I think it was fairly painless for her too.

This is so cute. Doesn't Brooke look scared!!! So funny. She totally melted down 2 seconds later. She often has the deer in headlights look when we make her do odd things, like make her dance on Cameron's bed or prop her up to take pictures. What a trooper.
That is all from Roggeville
