July 2010

Chrissie's bridal shower in Eau Claire in June. Poopa and his basketball girls took care of Max, Maddie, Cameron and Brooke. Terry and I got to have a lovely evening kid-free at the shower.

The girls opting not to swim, but throw things in instead.

Max pushing Cameron on the horse swing. Cameron threw up the next day after doing this for too long. Poor baby.

Brooke got some new Ariel jammies from Aunt Terry. The girls are "matchy matchy!" now.
We spent the 4th of July at the cabin. They had such a great time. They had all the grandparent's attention. Tim and I got to relax a bit.
Say CHEESE Brookers!!! In their 4th of July gear.
It was heavily misting one morning, but that did not stop Cameron. She and Tim went for a walk and searched for that mysterious bass...

Sparklers. I was quite proud of her for holding it as she is usually a little chicken when it comes to things like this.
A few generations of sparkler holders.
Snuggle time with Poopa.
CHINDA!!! That means to feed the fish. According to Cameron.
Timbo taking Cambo for a kayak ride. She loved it.
Brookie watching dad/cameron kayaking.
She decided it looked fun so she went for ride too. She also loved it. I was surprised b/c she doesn't often like new things where she doesn't have control. She did great.

CHEESE Brookers!

Playing with Poopa. The girls loved being at the cabin and having so much attention. They were wonderful. We even went to the beach down the lane and swam there too.

This was how Brooke looked most of the car ride home.

Cameron and her best friend, Boti. You know it was a fun trip when the girls pass out before Hwy 8 and stay that way until we get home!

This is Brooke in Time-Out. She refuses to sorry when she repeated hits one of us. She will sit here for 20 minutes. I ask her every few minutes if she'll say sorry and quivers her lip and says, "no."

Finally she'll say "soppy" its so adorable! I just want to eat her up.

Raphaela's first wedding brunch. We went to four events for her wedding! I tough time finding four sheiky meiky outfits.

Japanese Gardens. Raphaela and Charlie had a lovely wedding. We went to a German bar before the reception in honor of Raphaela. We had some of the best food ever! Deep fried reubens! YUM!
Rachel, Kristin, Raph, and me. We are so hot! :)
This was our last of the four weddings. Summer of Wedding has come to an end. Kinda nice b/c now we have half of summer left and no real commitments. We get to do anything we want. Like running through the fountains at the zoo with our cousins and friends. We have yet to hit the beach or public pool. I might need back up for that!
Cameron and Brooke spent lots of time at Papa and Nana's this summer while we were at our weddings. Cameron asks each day to go back and go swimming. It's good to know that she had a lot of fun and was not sad. Although she likes to tell me how much she missed us while we were on "bacation."

Busy Summer Already

We had a surprise Bridal Shower for Raphaela in June. She flew in from Connecticut and Kristin flew in from Mexico. Minus Anna, all the Myrtle Girls came to share in the fun. It was a great night.

Cameron and Brooke came to love Kristin, Raph and Rachel. They spent a few nights with us. Anyone who shows them lots of attention gets their vote!
Here is milk time. I still can't get Brooke off the bottle. Cameron was no problem. Brooke is a different story. She slapped the sippy cup out of my hand when I presented it to her instead of her bottle. She slapped at me and stalked around her bedroom. So I went and got her a bottle. I struggle with this b/c I want her to have milk. So I allow her to have a bottle at naptime and bedtime otherwise she can have water or milk out of a sippy. She usually rejects the milk in a sippy. What is the big deal Brookers????

Sisterly love.
Happy Mother's Day. I got to go to my favorite restaurant, Perkins! Love their pancakes! We then spent the day at Hayden's bday party.

Cameron got a new big girl bike this summer. She is getting better everyday.

Cameron has found her Kalla love of cards. She is a shark at Old Maid and Go Fish. We give her the option of playing cards or watching cartoons, and she always wants to play cards.

This was Tim's Xmas gift from Beka and me. The day was rainy and chilly, but we loved it.

We took the lightrail in and drank $10 beer and ate $10 hot dogs.
Random photo of the girls chewing their blankets and running around the house. They play well together and then scream at each other and then play again. I try not to get in their way too much. We have a lot of wedding this summer most notably cousin Andy's, brother Dan's, and Bestie Raphaela's. Should be busy and a lot of fun. We have about 3 open weekends this summer...

Easter Bunny Fun

We attended Papa and Nana's Easter Fest this year. We have a yummy brunch and then went on an Easter Egg Hunt. It was a great time. The kids love to run and play together. It was warm and sunny too, so that was like icing ontop of the French Silk Pie!
Easter morning we looked for the baskets which were hidden by that silly bunny! And ON MY what goodies were inside! Another attempt at getting four youngins to sit still and smile.

Cameron just loves being read to. She doesn't even have to know you very well and she'll come up to you with a book and tell you to read it to her.

Hayden wearing some stylin' Mr. Potato Head shades.
Waiting patiently for the egg hunt. On your mark, get set, GO!
So proud of her eggs! Should we mention the one that Papa put on a dead mouse? No? Ok.
Brooke found some too. Mostly the big kids just helped her out. Watch out for that shifty man in the back. He looks like he'd steal some chocolate!
Where is that darn bunny? Got any more chocolate?

Finding more eggs with Nana. Can't fool Brooke!
Hayden, Tim and Cameron on the hunt. And opening a few too.
Digging for chocolate and sharing with Nana.
We had a wonderful Easter Day. Beka and Chip got engaged! Congratulations to you both! Apparently they are not joining me in the idea of a summer 2010 wedding.... more like summer 2012... I am an impatient person though.
Kids are great. They are playing more and more together and not needing my attention 24/7. We have had random bouts of puking/fever stuff. But other than that this weather has been great for wearing them out. Nap on ladies!!!!

March Madness

"Where's your nose, Brookie?"
Cameron falling asleep during dinner.

Matching "Boti" sweaters made with love by Aunt Diann.

Someone thinks she is pretty cool.

Now that the teething and cold season is over, Brooke is one happy chica.
Rock band with Maddie. Went went over to play with our wonderful cousins on one of the most beautiful days we have had.

Later we enjoyed an afternoon snack outside.

Brooke is feeding Cameron.

What mom??? Take the picture already.

Someone became very attached to the bear/blanket this winter.

After snacks we played and I wore them out. Then Tim came home and ran them ragged. I love this weather. The girls were sweaty, dusty and tired. Hopefull April will bring more of the same.
